Balmorhea State Park reopens this month and, along with all the repairs that were made, some pretty cool upgrades were done as well.

Balmorhea State Park is the world’s largest, spring-fed swimming pool and boats water that is absolutely, crystal clear. It's perfect for swimming and that water clarity also makes it ideal for snorkeling and even scuba diving.

Balmohea has been undergoing a makeover lately and it's finally been reopened to the public for swimming, camping or just chillin'. (Pool reopens 5/10/24)

It's only a couple of hours from El Paso, make your park reservations by calling 512-389-8900 or you can book online via the Balmorhea State Park website. The parks Facebook page posted this announcement about some of the upgrades:

Park Update: Balmorhea State Park is excited to announce that the campground is now open with reservable sites available to the public. Upgraded infrastructure includes improved water lines, electrical systems, paved areas, and the addition of a state-of-the-art dark sky compliant restroom facility. Additionally, we're proud to introduce three new ADA accessible RV sites, ensuring everyone can enjoy the beauty of Balmorhea. - Balmorhea State Park/Facebook
